Ribblesdale Park

After several successful meetings with Guy Hindley, the owner of Ribblesdale Park, we were awarded the contract to supply the new state-of-the-art ‘boutique’ park with all their audio visual requirements.

A Unique Environment

Ribblesdale Park is the first second home development of its kind in the United Kingdom where residents can experience a new way of living by indulging in a luxury lodge set in 16 acres of beautiful countryside with full concierge service.

We started the project in 2004 when the very first lodge was put in situ.  We designed and installed a home cinema system that was minimal on space yet maximum on effect.  Using an Hitachi 42” Plasma Screen, Harman Kardon audio and video products with Infinity 5.1 Surround Sound and a Philips ProntoPro IR remote control we achieved a breath taking movie experience with full touch screen control.  The combination was sophisticated in design and ability yet discreet enough not to impose on the space of the living area in the lodge.

Since then, we have designed and installed many more home cinema systems at different levels of sophistication throughout the park.

The Site Offices

When it came to designing the audio visual system for the site office and art gallery, we worked closely with Guy Hindley and George Hope (Director of Business Development) to develop a cutting edge system using the latest in technology individual to their business requirements.

The art gallery area welcomes visitors with gentle background music piped through discreet Systemline ceiling recessed speakers that are controlled via infra red.  The reception area has a 42” plasma screen displaying all the Park and its surrounding areas as well as DVD’s, Sky Television and the Internet.

The main audio visual equipment comprising of Pioneer CD Multi Player, DVD Player, Amplifier, PC and DAB Radio is housed in a 19” rack out of site.  This is linked up to all the ceiling recessed speakers, plasma screens and the interactive whiteboard throughout the ground floor.  Each room controls the equipment via infra red control to eliminate the need to manually alter the equipment at the rack.

Future Proofing the Park

To prevent any further disruptions and cost when upgrading the system or making additions in the future, we installed a comprehensive wiring structure which will save the client time and money.

Each room in the site office is networked together using CAT5, consists of a number of floor boxes to enable laptops to connect to the system as and when required and all this plus the audio visual equipment is controlled via infra red control using wall mounted panels and hand held remotes.
